Street Closures to Accommodate a Procession for the 175th Anniversary of the 8th Canadian Hussars 2023-05-17
The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of the following street closures that will be implemented in Moncton to accommodate the procession for the 175th Anniversary of the 8th Canadian Hussars:
- Lester Avenue from Queen Street to Main Street will be fully closed from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to make way for the procession staging.
- Main Street from Lewis Street to Lutz Street and Westmorland Street from Main Street to Assomption Boulevard will be fully closed from 11 a.m. until around 12 p.m.
In addition, the City of Moncton also wishes to advise the public that there will be a Royal 21-Gun Salute at approximately 11 a.m. along the Riverfront in honour of Her Royal Highness Princess Anne's visit to Moncton. Some noise disturbances can be expected during this time.
The City of Moncton apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and encourages the public to attend the procession in celebration of the 8th Canadian Hussars’ anniversary.
