River of Pride – Road Closure and Noise By-Law Exemption 2022-08-22
The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas to accommodate the River of Pride parade happening on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Street Closure – Part 1:
From 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27
- A full street closure on Foundry Street from Record Street to Main Street for the parade line-up and staging.
Street Closure – Part 2:
From 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27
- Main Street will be closed from Bonaccord Street to Mechanic Street.
- The duration of the parade will be approximately one hour and the street will be opened as the procession moves along.
Noise By-Law Exemption:
A noise By-Law Exemption has been granted for festivities in Riverfront Park on Saturday, August 27 from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The City is asking motorists to use alternate routes when at all possible, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but also encourages travelers to check out the events.
