Moncton Sports Wall of Fame to Honour New Inductees on Oct. 26 2024-09-27
MONCTON – The 2024 inductees to the City of Moncton’s Sports Wall of Fame include three athletes who excelled in their respective sports, two builders who created opportunities for young athletes to shine, and a team that inspired the community with consistent success.
Inductees for 2024 include:
- Brooklyn Douthwright: Athlete – Swimming
- Danielle Dorris: Athlete – Para-Swimming
- Jim Maxwell: Athlete – Golf
- Daryl Beers: Builder – Badminton
- Kevin Gaudet: Builder – Hockey
- Moncton Fairlanes T&M (1980-1990): Team – Bowling
“This year’s inductees have each made unique contributions to the world of sports,” says Randy Roth, chair of the Moncton Sports Wall of Fame Board. “We are honoured to recognize such a remarkable group of talented athletes, dedicated builders, and outstanding team members. On behalf of the Board, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the 2024 inductees.”
The 2024 Moncton Sports Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place at the Capitol Theatre on Oct. 26, 2024 at 7 p.m. Tickets are free and are available at the Capitol Theatre box office located at 811 Main St., by calling 506-856-4379, or online at capitol.nb.ca.
