Moncton is excited to announce the return of the third annual PolarFest, presented by UNI Financial Cooperation, scheduled to take place from Feb. 15 to 17 at Centennial Park. The event promises an assortment of both new attractions and traditional activities tailored for all age groups.

New this year, the festival will include a Geomatrix fire show and a community weaving project led by artist Mélanie Paulin. Returning activities from last year’s event include horse-drawn wagon rides, live music in the Happy Craft Brewing beer garden, and an interactive experience with Llamazing Adventures.

Classic PolarFest activities will also return, such as races down the enhanced sliding hill, skating along the Muskrat Skating Trail, and an ice sculpture demonstration. Additional highlights include the Greater Moncton Scottish Association’s kilt skate, hockey games at the Kaboom Rink, and outdoor activities hosted by Resurgo Place and the Boys and Girls Club. A variety of food vendors will be available on-site.

“We are excited to welcome residents and visitors to the third annual PolarFest,” says Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold. “This festival showcases the best of winter in our region and offers activities for everyone to enjoy, free of charge. PolarFest is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, embrace winter, and make lasting memories with family and friends. We encourage everyone to embrace the winter spirit and join us at Centennial Park for the Family Day weekend!”
