Moncton Announces Full New Year's Eve Family Fun Fest Program 2023-12-12
Moncton has put the final touches on a fun-filled program and is set to welcome residents and visitors to the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve Family Fun Fest on Dec. 31. Presented by the Moncton Wildcats, the exciting line-up will feature live performances by The Mainlanders, Beauxmont, and The Mellotones, along with a variety of family-friendly entertainment such as yard games and face painting, the event promises an enjoyable experience for attendees of all ages.
“We are delighted to be adding a New Year’s Eve party to our annual series of free events open to all residents,” says Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold. “The Family Fun Fest is a great opportunity to gather with friends and family to celebrate the start of a new year and there are lots of activities planned to appeal to residents of all ages. We look forward to ringing in the new year with you!”
The event is being organized by a committee made up of local residents.
"We are thrilled to introduce a vibrant celebration to our lineup of free community activities for this New Year’s Eve,” says Shane Esson, co-chair of the New Year’s Eve Family Fun Fest Organizing Committee.
The event is a legacy of last year’s World Junior Hockey Championship.
“This event is not just about ringing in the new year; it's a heartfelt invitation to every resident to join us in building on the success of last year’s celebrations around the IIHF World Junior Championship,” says Claire Esson, co-chair of the organizing committee.
