Local Organizing Committee to Host 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game Fan Fest 2024-01-18
The City of Moncton is excited to announce that pre-event activities will be held before the 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 24. The festivities are being coordinated by the 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game Activation Committee, tasked with enhancing the fan experience through community engagement activities.
Downtown Place, outside the Avenir Centre, will offer an opportunity for entertainment beyond the hockey rink. The community is invited to lace up their skates and glide across the Ian Fowler Oval, take in live performances by local artists on the Oval Stage, enjoy tasty bites from Mamma K’s, take photos with the Memorial Cup, and try some free maple taffy from Brigg’s Maple from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
"We’re committed to creating a lively atmosphere for both residents and visitors," says Mike Belong, co-chair of the 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game Activation Committee. ‘’Whether you are a hockey enthusiast or just seeking a great time with family and friends, Downtown Place is where you want to be on Jan. 24.’’
Bill Whalen, co-chair of Events Moncton, says the game promises to be a highlight of the hockey season.
‘‘Our primary goal is always to provide free, accessible, and enjoyable activities for everyone. This ensures that the spirit of the event reaches beyond the arena, making it an inclusive experience for all, regardless of whether they attend the game.’’
