The City of Moncton will be holding an in-person Employment Fair for Newcomers and International Students on June 9, 2022, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Avenir Centre (150 Canada Street, Moncton, E1C 0V2). Part time and full-time employment positions will be available, and registrations are limited. To date, over 475 positions have been filled as a direct result of the City of Moncton employment fairs contributing to over 18 million in payroll. These employment fairs are partially funded by Working NB and are executed in partnership with a wide variety of community partners. Participants can register online or at the door on the day of the event: https://bit.ly/2022JobFairSalonDeLEmploi
The City of Moncton will also be holding its first in-person Greater Moncton Settle and Stay Fair of the year on June 16, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm at the Avenir Centre (150 Canada Street, Moncton, E1C 0V2). We will be hosting employment and entrepreneurship services, government agencies, settlement agencies, language services, and volunteer-based organizations to help newcomers smoothly transition to the Greater Moncton area. Participants can register at the door on the day of the event, or online by visiting: https://bit.ly/SettlementFairSalonDeLEtablissement.
Moncton added 7,600 people to its population between 2016 and 2021, achieving record levels of population growth. Furthermore, relative to population size, Greater Moncton attracted more people (migrants from elsewhere in Canada and immigrants combined) than Halifax, Calgary, Vancouver and more than 90% of Canada’s 130+ urban centres (CMAs/CAs). Our city is competitive in attracting and retaining newcomers on a national scale!
