Services

In addition to the key role of fire suppression, the Moncton Fire Department offers the following specialty services:

  • medical first response
  • auto extrication
  • water rescue
  • heavy hazmat response
  • high angle rescue
  • confined space rescue
  • public education
  • fire investigation
  • inspection service

The Department also has a training division that is responsible for firefighter training, logistics, and research and development on new tools and techniques.

Organizational structure

The Moncton Fire Department has been serving the City of Moncton for nearly 150 years.

Founded on Nov. 9, 1865, the current staff of 124 is led by Fire Chief Conrad Landry.
