Planning Advisory Committee
The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) is made up of volunteers appointed by Moncton City Council. The PAC advises Council on planning-related matters and is the approving authority for variances, conditional use applications, and applications for similar and compatible uses.

Virtual PAC meetings
Planning Advisory Committee meetings are currently being held virtually. To speak at a PAC meeting on any regular PAC application, please contact the Planner identified in the public notice to be added to the list.
Join the meetingRegular PAC meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, except for the month of December when the meeting is held on the third Wednesday.
Meetings take place in Council Chambers at Moncton City Hall unless otherwise noted.

Current Applications
Some development applications require Planning Advisory Committee approval.
Public notice of these applications is posted to this page and mailed to property owners within a 60-metre radius of the property named in the application.
The Committee meets once per month to consider applications. All PAC meetings are open to the public. You may submit written comments ahead of time and/or speak on variances and conditional use applications on which the PAC has approval authority.
30-32 Marriott Drive
APPLICATION DETAILS
Application to construct a four-storey apartment building at 32 Marriott Drive (63 residential units). The apartment building would represent Phase 2 of a two-phase development proposal.
The property is zoned HC (Highway Commercial) and requires the following applications:
- Conditional Use Application
- To permit more than one main building on the lot.
- Variance Application
- To reduce the flankage yard setback from 18m to 15m in one location (Veterans Memorial Highway);
- To reduce the traditional materials requirement on the north and south elevations of the main building, and
- To permit the garbage enclosure in the side yard setback

Application to construct a six-storey apartment building at 30 Waterloo Street. The apartment building will consist of 77 residential units.
The property is zoned CBD (Central Business District) and requires the following applications:
- Conditional Use Application
- To permit the underground parking garage below the minimum 10.5m geodetic elevation.
- Variance Application
To remove the requirement to step the building back within 10m of the street.
