The Codiac Regional Community Policing Unit, in partnership with the Codiac Regional Citizens on Patrol Association (CRCOPA), is hosting a community barbeque this Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at the Jones Lake boat launch (Parlee Drive).

The CRCOPA is a volunteer community-based initiative with the purpose of acting as the extended eyes and ears of the local law enforcement agencies. Volunteers for the CRCOPA will be present at the barbeque to respond to any questions regarding their program and how residents in the area can get involved.

In addition to the community barbeque, there will be an upcoming training session for volunteers interested in taking part in the CRCOPA program on Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 6 pm to 9 pm, held virtually as well as in person (St. George Blvd. Fire Station, 800 St. George Blvd.). Anyone attending the training session must RSVP in advance by email.

For those interested in becoming a volunteer with the program and/or for additional information, please contact CRCOPA at the following email address CRCOPA.INFO@GMAIL.COM.
